The Modi government is preparing to provide a special facility to 2.5 crore farmers among the beneficiaries on the basis of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme and KCC-Kisan Credit Card scheme. The government is trying to ensure that no farmer takes a loan from moneylenders as the interest rate is too high and the farmer cannot get out of the loan. With a government loan, the farmer will now have to pay only 4% interest per annum, which is the lowest interest rate on any loan in the country.
